Geosites are often not in safe conditions. As not-rinnovable goods, since they display key aspect of our living planet, they deserve care and attention.

Both atmospheric and anthropogenic factors may affect geosites. For this reason, geosites have to be preserved by adopting safety rules designed for individual cases.
